- Preside over monthly PTA meetings
- Prepare Monthly Agendas, Reports and Review Meeting Minutes
- Serve on Executive Committee and Executive Board to make sure that PTA operates in accordance with PTA Bylaws
- Revise PTA Bylaws as needed and file with Illinois PTA
- Make sure required forms are filed with the Illinois Secretary of State
- Make sure that Annual Internal Audit of PTA Financial Records is completed and that IRS Annual Filing is timely
- Work collaboratively with Principal and School Staff to make sure that programs offered serve the needs of school community
- Be available to talk with parents as needed about ideas or concerns
- Coordinate PTA events with fellow PTA Officers and Committee Chairs
- Delegate tasks by making sure that volunteers have all the information needed to complete task and offer guidance as needed
- Sign and Approve all PTA Contracts for Services
- Assist in developing Annual PTA Budget
- Signor on PTA Bank Account
- Maintain PTA files

- Pay all invoices/reimbursement requests

- Prepare records for Annual Internal Audit of PTA Financial Records
